Now that all the parts are cut, logos printed and the embroidery is finished it time to pull it all together.  A stitching line may have 100 to 300 workers depending on the complexity of the shoes.

The stitching operations of the shoe are broken down into small tasks that each worker can complete quickly.  This allow the worker to master their operation and it allows the quality inspectors to track any defects to an individual operator so they can be corrected.

Once the parts are stitched together the uppers will have their toe box and heel counters formed to create a well formed shoe.

One shoe assembly line requires 2 stitching lines to fill it’s capacity.  For a skate shoe roughly 1200 pairs per day can be assembled.  A small shoe factory with 3 or 4 lines can employ over 3000 stitchers.
