Another great shoemakers reference guide by Wade Motawi. Lots of color photos pointing out subtle differences between real vs. fake Nikes, Adidas, Vans, etc. Many popular sneakers are in there to check out. Great training not only to spot fakes and make sure I never get ripped off buying fakes again but also a thorough Inspection guide to use when inspecting any shoes. I started a women’s sandal brand with help from this author and the inspection techniques learned here saved us thousands of dollars. Not only could I inspect my shoes like a pro but the process saved us from having b-grade inventory arrive in the USA. A great reference for all types of shoemakers. I recommend reading the book How to spot Fake Sneakers by Wade Motawi.
Wade Motawi is a sneaker industry shoe expert who can inspect and authenticate any Air Jordan, Nike, Adidas or Vans on the market.
This book teaches sneaker authentication expertise using the same techniques which are used by reselling marketplaces such as eBay or Stockx authentication.
This book is a perfect reference guide for any sneaker reselling shop or convention vendor as it will help assist in authenticating customer’s sneakers to make sure they are all legitimate.
My favorite section is the Air Jordan 1 Mid OG breakdown of every meticulous detail from the thickness of the leather to the type of fabrics and foams used on the inside panels.
This is a must read for anyone in the sneaker marketplace or someone who wants tips to confirm their sneakers are authentic.

This book is awesome. The photos of the real shoes and fake shoes side-by-side are clear, detailed, and eye-opening. Especially the ones where the shoe is cut in half. You can literally see that there is NO airbag. I’m glad Wade cut up the spendy Nike’s so I didn’t have to. Highly recommend to anyone who appreciates quality sneakers and wants to feel confident in the quality they are getting when they buy.
